Write [what it should do] in [language/framework].

Constraints:
- [runtime, versions, libraries I can and can't use]
- [performance or size limits that matter]

Handle the error cases, don't just cover the happy path. Add comments only
where the reasoning isn't obvious from the code. When you're done, tell me what
you'd test first and what you'd expect to break under load.
